Asia Current Events:Vietnam
In this article, it is about a family of four fishermen being evicted from land that the government gave them. The court sentenced them to a 2 to 5 year term in prison for resisting the eviction and potentially for attempted murder. At first it started in 1993 when the government officials gave this family 101 acres of land that was a swampland. The family turned it into a prawn and fish business. In 2009 the government officials wanted to reclaim their land back and would not give the family a compensation for taking it. After some investigations though, prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that the eviction was illegal and punished the officials who carried out the order, eventually the family was allowed to have their land back.
I think that this article relates to something that we have learned would be with India and Britain. The British gave India its land but was still in control of it. It reminded me when Gandhi was protesting to get the rights of Indians back in their homeland. Then this proved successful allowing them to get their land back just like the family in the article.

Asian Pop culture:Manga and comic books
Manga are like the Japanese version of a comic book in the U.S. I chose to compare these too because I thought that they had similar qualities and content. Manga are comic like stories that go on for many volumes. I think that they connect because they involve fictional characters that are very famous in their own country. For example, there is spider man for the U.S. and Pokemon for japan. Another reason why I selected them is because of the entertainment category that they are in. They are both considered graphic novels, and each writer could go in their own perspective of how the story can end.

This primary source I found is about ancient Greek statues that were found in China. These statues could possibly date back all the way in ancient China, many researchers believe that these statues are connected with the Greek goddess of love Eros. The fact that there was a part of Greece in ancient China could lead to a possible research.
With this source, I would research about the history of Greece and how it might have possibly influenced the Chinese back then. The way I would research this is learn to see if there were any other findings just like this one that can relate back to the Greek culture. Next I would see the location of where the objects were found and look into if it had any influence on the Chinese in that certain area. This would all end to see how the Greek culture went to ancient China.
